Our Story

It all started when one of the authors, Michelle, wanted to buy a children’s book about Vartan Mamigonian for a boy named Vartan. When she was unable to find a suitable book, she decided to write one on her own and announced her idea to all her friends. Nyrie immediately liked the idea, and together, they researched, wrote, rewrote, drafted, sketched and came up with books highlighting 3 Armenian heroes.

They worked closely with a talented artist in Armenia, Adam, to illustrate the books for children with vibrant and fun pictures. After Michelle and Nyrie wrote the books in Western Armenian, they worked closely with Armenian language experts to help with editing. The books were printed in Armenia, making these books a true collaboration of Armenians around the world, all united with the same purpose of igniting a desire to learn more about Armenian history in Armenian children in the diaspora.
